Christmas Letter 2003

As we reflect back on this year of 2003, it seems to have just flown by.  However we have several memories we would like to share.  We we blessed with the happy marriages of several friends.

In January we attended two weddings.  Our friends Jackie and Kelly Critser (below-left) were married January 18.  It was a wonderful wedding and we are very happy for them.  A week later we attended the wedding of  Dr. TJ & Connie Gray (below right) .  TJ is the son of Jeri's boss, Dr Tim Gray.  We had the opportunity of having Jeri taking pictures with our digital camera and then creating slide shows of these occasions for them.  We had a good time at both these weddings and had fun taking the pictures and creating the slide shows with music.

In April we celebrated our 8th anniversary.  Hard to believe how fast those 8 years have gone by. Also in April another friend, Chris Todd got married.  We are so happy for her and Bret.

In June, we attended the high graduation of Cam's friend Ashley Tomanka at Auburn Academy.

In July we went to the beach for the day with Jackie and Kelly.  We didn't have reservations for the night, but thought we would just drop in on some places and see what kind of deal we could get.  The weather was beautiful at the coast with the most calm ocean I have ever seen.  We checked several places in Newport, but all of them had no vacancy.  We started back toward Lincoln City and by chance thought we would try The Inn at Otter Crest.  Had heard of this place, but had never stayed there.  When we checked, they had vacancy.  They took us out to a couple of the units and the second one we went to was wonderful.  We got a beautiful condo with vaulted ceiling and fireplace and a second condo room  for a great price.  Here is a picture of the view from our room.

Here is another picture looking down on the Inn from Cape Foulweather.

In August we had our vacation.  The last week of August we went to Maui Hawaii for 8 days.  We stayed in the  Kahana Reef condos in Kahana on the north west shore for 4 days and then moved to the Maui Prince Hotel on the southwest side of the island.  Our first night provided one of the main reasons we wanted to go to Hawaii, beautiful sunsets and we got a great one. Here is just one of the pictures we took.

This is the view from our room. during the day...

The island on the right is Molokai and the island on the left is Lanai.

We spent most of our time just relaxing, enjoying the views, reading and getting some sun.  we did a couple excursions, one to the Maui Ocean Center.  This is a very nice aquarium.  We also went on the road to Hana.  Though the road has many curves and there are lots of  narrow bridges, it is a beautiful drive.  The thing I really wanted to do was at the end of the road or at least where we were going to turn around and that was  the gravesite of Charles Lindberg.  The grave is located in a church cemetery several miles past Hana.  Here is a picture of me at the grave.

We had a wonderful time here.  The beach was great and the snorkeling good.

This fall flew by.  As I write this it is the day after Thanksgiving.  We had a good time at Darrell and Beng's (my cousin and family).  Here is a picture that is kind of special...and fun to!

As we look forward to 2004, we ask God to be with all of you.  Our prayer is that God will reveal his love to you through our savior and friend Jesus, the Son of God, and that he will be always with you through the Holy Spirit.

Love,
Cam & Jeri
