Cam & Jeri’s Year In Review
2001
Warmest holiday greetings to family and
friends. We thank God daily for you and
ask Him to be with each of you in all your activities.
What a year 2001 has been. The events of September 11 and the aftermath
bring both sadness and rejoicing.
Sadness for the families and friends affected by those events. Rejoicing to know that we are that much
closer to Jesus’ return and living forever with Him.
In our personal lives 2001 has been a busy year as
well. We both still have our jobs for
which we are thankful. Cam has had
several shutdown days and weeks since the beginning of summer. Jeri had some unscheduled time off when her
employer took a week off in June for his children’s graduations and another
week off in October for some other business.
During the first week of April we went to Newport
Oregon for our 6th anniversary.
While there we visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium and walked through the
new under water exhibit that was formerly "Kieko the Killer Whales’ "
home. Jeri especially loved the Jelly
Fish exhibit.
Later in April Cam went to visit his uncle Charles
in Beloit, Kansas. While there he also
visited his grandfather Mason who had his 100th birthday in
February.
In May, Jeri hosted a tea party in the backyard
for her work colleagues. She had a
great time setting it up. Cam even had
the garden railroad running to entertain the guests.
July was a busy time for Jeri and her dad they
worked on our pond. It had been leaking
because seal around the drain had failed.
Unfortunately, though the pond leak was fixed there is still a leak in
the waterfall. Cam worked out a
temporary bypass for the waterfall until that can be repaired next spring.
In August we went to British Columbia Canada for
the annual Adventist amateur radio get-together at Camp Hope. This year the trip included a bus tour of
Vancouver BC. We really enjoyed a visit
to Queen Elizabeth Park in south Vancouver. (Highly recommended)
October brought Jeri’s parent’s 50th
anniversary. She and her brothers
planned an open house in Roseburg.
Around 125 family and friends attended.
For Thanksgiving, we stuck with plans made since
the middle of the summer and took a week’s vacation in Florida. Besides visiting Walt Disney World we also
went to Cypress Gardens and Trainland, which featured a indoor large G-Scale
model train layout.
We are thankful for God’s love, our family and our
friends. During this holiday season may
all of you be with the ones you love and may all of you have a wonderful holiday
and great new year!
Love,
Cam
& Jeri
