Site Planning & Construction!
Since that time we have been doing a lot of planning and a little constructing. The plan evolved into a raised garden area that would include a garden fish pond with waterfall and the garden railroad.

The back wall is constructed using 4x4 fence posts with 4x6 wall, with a height of 22". The front wall is antique color cottage stone that matches our brick paver patio.

We then installed a cottage stone front side to the raised bed and the form for the pond.

The form used treated 2x4's with a 3/4" plywood backing. Jeri's father designed the pond and helped us construct it.

There was plenty of dirt to move...as you can see the hard way. Fortunately we had a small tractor-trailer to get the soil to the wheelbarrow to move to the right spot in the raised bed.

We used carpeting to give the pond liner something soft to sit on.

Here is a picture of the pond with water in it.
