FIOS Internet and Home Networking

When I upgraded from Verizon DSL to FIOS Internet, I immediately had problems with my home network.  My shared printers and folders were no longer available.  The internet connection worked fine however for all my computers.  So what was the problem?  I checked the Router settings, model is Actiontec MI424WR.  The admin program under Network Settings, had a listing for Shared Files, but clicking it resulted in a error that a file could not be found.  I called FIOS support about this and a email problem I had, they had not migrated my DSL Verizon email account so it broke.  They fixed the email issue, but they couldn't help with the home network sharing.  They did mention the problem was probably my personal PC fir ewall software that caused the problem.

After thinking about if for awhile, I got into the Norton Internet Security settings and added the IP addresses for my PC's to trusted settings for the firewall.  Low and behold that fixed it.  I know have printer and shared folder access.
